Minds is a family learning app. This policy explains what the app collects and why. It applies to the Minds Android and iOS apps.
Minds is published by Ivan Sibisi. Questions about this policy: ivan.sibisi@gmail.com.
When a parent creates a family account, we store the email address and a password. The password is handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and is not kept in the app as plain text. We also store the household name and the names and age bands of family members so the daily lessons match the learner.
The app stores which games were played, scores, and skill progress. This stays on the device and, when you are signed in, can be saved to your family record so the same account can continue on another phone.
Family plans are sold through Google Play or the App Store. Payment details are collected by the store, not by Minds. We receive a purchase receipt and whether the premium plan is active, including through RevenueCat, so the app can unlock the extra daily games and topic library.
When the family plan is not active, Minds may show a single non-personalized banner ad on parent, household, account, and subscribe screens only. Ads are not shown on the child’s home, daily games, lessons, play screen, or topic library. The family plan removes those banners. Ads are served by Google AdMob.
Minds is used by families, including children. A parent creates the account and chooses the learner’s age band. We do not knowingly let a child create an account without a parent.
A parent can delete the family account in the app: open Parent, then Delete account, then confirm. That removes the account and the learning record we store for it.
You can also email ivan.sibisi@gmail.com from the address on the account, with the subject “Delete my Minds account” and the household name.
We delete the account email, household name, learner names and age bands, and the learning record (games played, scores, and skill progress). Purchase receipts stay with Google Play or the App Store under their own rules. We complete the deletion within 30 days. We do not keep a copy after that, other than a short note that the request was finished, which we delete within 90 days.
We use Supabase to store accounts, Google Play or Apple for billing, RevenueCat to confirm whether a plan is active, and Google AdMob for the parent-screen banner when the family plan is not active. Those providers process data so the app can run and, where ads appear, so the banner can be shown.
